Been Out Of Work For 90 Days?

When you are out of work for more than 90 days, you are required to take a job fit test before returning to the job. You can contact Ronnie Crane at 791-9146 to find out the test requirements for your particular job. Members are reminded to take any physical therapy seriously so that you will be able to pass the fit test and return to work when released.

There seems to be some confusion regarding the selling of your grandfather clause. First of all, it is the local's position that no one should sell their grandfather clause. Too risky. You may think that you are safe no matter what, but all it takes is an injury or a surplus and you WILL be paid Grade Wage Rate, which can be as low as $13.53, if you have lost/sold your Grandfather Clause. But for those who may go down that road there is a difference between payouts if you just bid and if you actually sell your grandfather rights and then bid. Please talk to your Division Chairman or other union official if you are considering selling yours so you can get all the facts to make an informed decision.
